Hibisca

A short walk in a long rain. Scroll, and see what he finds.

one hour in

It has rained since breakfast.

No coat, no hat, no plan. Just a walk he had already started.

hang on

Then something pink.

A flower the size of his head, holding the rain off the leaves beneath it.

may I?

Borrowed from the forest.

One stem, eight petals, and suddenly the weather is somebody else's problem.

oh, look

Dry enough to notice the lights.

That is all an umbrella is for. We just made ours the shape of the idea.

Hibisca · umbrella makers, more or less

The first umbrella was a big leaf held over a small head. We went back to that and chose a better flower.

8petals, each one a panel
104 cmacross when open
310 glighter than a pineapple
60 km/hof wind before it minds
Bloom · 104 cm open, and dry underneath
