The water is forty metres down and very clear.
New rock means no silt. Dive the drop-off where the island ends and the shelf falls away, or swim the black beach at slack tide.

The rim walk runs on the cooled north lip. Escorted, monitored hourly, and cancelled without discussion when the gas reading moves.
