Card Fan Deck: an interactive 3D cursor template
A deck of photo cards that fans open as the cursor approaches, leans toward it and shuffles on click.
Try it: Move closer to fan · click to shuffle. Open the live Card Fan Deck full screen.
Where the Card Fan Deck works best
Portfolios, photography, product collections and recipe or travel card decks.
How it is built
Cards hinge from a shared pivot at the bottom of the deck; how far they fan depends on how close the cursor gets, and a click rotates the order. The whole effect is plain three.js in one module script. It renders only while it is on screen and caps the pixel ratio on high-density displays to protect performance.
Add it to your website
- Add a Code, Embed or Custom HTML block where the effect should sit (Webflow, Framer, WordPress, GoHighLevel, Shopify or plain HTML).
- Paste the snippet. It is one element and one script; three.js loads from a CDN.
- Edit the colours, images and words in the settings block, then publish.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Card Fan Deck template free?
Anyone can open it live and try the interaction. Copying the code is included with a Scrollhaus plan.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. On touch screens it runs a gentle automatic motion so the scene is never still, and taps trigger the click interaction.
Do I need Spline or three.js experience?
No. It is one HTML element and one module script. Colours, text and images live in a settings block at the top.
