Jelly Cube: an interactive 3D cursor template

A glossy candy cube that ripples like jelly wherever the cursor pokes it and squashes on click.

Try it: Poke it · click to squash. Open the live Jelly Cube full screen.

Where the Jelly Cube works best

Snack, candy and beverage brands, games and friendly app onboarding.

How it is built

A rounded box receives up to six pokes at a time; each sends a decaying sine wave across the surface from where it landed, added in the vertex shader. The whole effect is plain three.js in one module script. It renders only while it is on screen and caps the pixel ratio on high-density displays to protect performance.

Add it to your website

  1. Add a Code, Embed or Custom HTML block where the effect should sit (Webflow, Framer, WordPress, GoHighLevel, Shopify or plain HTML).
  2. Paste the snippet. It is one element and one script; three.js loads from a CDN.
  3. Edit the colours and words in the settings block, then publish.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Jelly Cube template free?

Anyone can open it live and try the interaction. Copying the code is included with a Scrollhaus plan.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. On touch screens it runs a gentle automatic motion so the scene is never still, and taps trigger the click interaction.

Do I need Spline or three.js experience?

No. It is one HTML element and one module script. Colours, text and images live in a settings block at the top.
