Prism Light Split: an interactive 3D cursor template
The cursor is a light source: its beam hits a glass prism and splits into a rainbow fan.
Try it: Move the light source · click to widen the spectrum. Open the live Prism Light Split full screen.
Where the Prism Light Split works best
Optics, photography, music and creative brands.
How it is built
The cursor is the light source; a white beam meets the prism and a fanned spectrum leaves the far side, all from additive quads. The whole effect is plain three.js in one module script. It renders only while it is on screen and caps the pixel ratio on high-density displays to protect performance.
Add it to your website
- Add a Code, Embed or Custom HTML block where the effect should sit (Webflow, Framer, WordPress, GoHighLevel, Shopify or plain HTML).
- Paste the snippet. It is one element and one script; three.js loads from a CDN.
- Edit the colours and words in the settings block, then publish.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Prism Light Split template free?
Anyone can open it live and try the interaction. Copying the code is included with a Scrollhaus plan.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. On touch screens it runs a gentle automatic motion so the scene is never still, and taps trigger the click interaction.
Do I need Spline or three.js experience?
No. It is one HTML element and one module script. Colours, text and images live in a settings block at the top.
